Kamal Nath: Inflation downtrend to continue

New Delhi: The downward trend in Indian inflation is expected to continue, Trade Minister Kamal Nath said on Monday.

"Inflation has come down," he told reporters on the sidelines of a business conference. "The downward trend in inflation is expected to continue."

Don't use trade for resolving non-trade issues: Kamal Nath

Annual inflation, as measured by wholesale prices, was at 11.8 per cent at the end of September. It hit 12.9 per cent in early August, its highest since April 1995, when numbers under the current series became available.

Kamal Nath: hopeful of 8% growth in FY09
