NewMirchi is a news website that lets you submit
news, stories, blogs or any interesting read on internet for review
and display them based on which stories are more sought and read. By
letting the actual readers like you rate the news, we intend to bring
the news those interest you the most. We don't care about the critics
cribbing that by presenting you the news you want to read we are not
doing a fair news reporting. We are not here to do any kind of
journalism. NewsMirchi is more like an entertainment site and so
obviously you get to choose the content you like. The process goes
like this:
What do you mean by a NEWS?
A news can be an interesting article / a story / a review / videos / anything that is really a hot topic, etc.
For example, if you like a news in google.com or yahoo.com,
Instead of submitting google.com or yahoo.com, try submitting the specific URL of that news.
What do you mean by a VOTE?
Vote is to weigh a news. If a news collects positive (thumbs up) votes, which means its been liked by many people, say, it is an interesting news.
If there are many negative votes (thumbs down), then it is not an interesting news to other NewsMirchi Readers.
So before casting your vote, read the news, if you like it, cast a thumbs up (positive) vote, if you don't like it, then cast a thumbs down (negative) vote.
- You let others know the news you liked via "Submit your News".
- Fellow NewsMirchi readers like you vote the news you submitted.
- Depending on the number of votes, and number of clicks on the
link, your news is assigned a numeric value called Mirchi score.
- Once your news gets a Mirchi score of 10, it qualifies to be
listed on NewsMirchi (letz call this "Winners" list)
- All the news in the Winners list shows up on NewsMirchi. Mirchi
score determines the position of the news links.More the mirchi
score, higher up is the news link's listing position. News with top
score is displayed on top and so on.
- You can also post links of your own blogs or homepages or your
photos/videos and expose your talent to the world. Please note all
the contents you submit should meet the conditions mentioned in Terms
of Use. Do not submit any news or pictures or videos
or data of any sort that may conflict any patent, trademark, trade
secret, copyright, or other intellectual or proprietary right of any
party. Also refrain from posting links to unlawful, abusive,
pornographic, harassing, threatening, or anyway objectionable
messages/contents. Your IP is logged each time you post the links and
you will be responsible for any problems arising out of the links you
posted.
- Each User can vote only once on one news. if you suspect any
fraudulent manipulation of votes or a content violation or problem or
abuse, You can write to support@newsmirchi.com.

Apart from voting for the news, You can also
store the news you liked most in your profile. For example, a news
about common wealth games may not have gotten enough votes to get on
to Winners list. However, you can store it under your user profile for
future reference or sharing with your friends whom you think might
like that news. All the news submitted by you will be stored under
your profile by default and you may remove them.You can create friends
group for sharing your stories and also send them messages to read and
review the news you just posted.
